Why You Should Stop Talking In Terms of Dreams
We are born and immediately get immersed in a fantasy dimension. A place filled by fairytales, cartoons and people telling us to play with our imagination. Soon enough we start living by the quote “follow your dream”. Although letting your creativity free and wild in your early years can be a great thing for your personal growth, there comes a point in your life where it begins to be a destructive habit.
The world might tell you to follow your dreams, but deleting this word from your mind will actually make you more successful, saving your time and money.
It’s a problem that concerns the human mindset. The word ‘dream’, in our brain, is linked to something imaginary and far from reality. You’re basically telling your subconscious that what you want is a fantasy, a nonexistent reality.
After all we usually tend to daydream about the things we can’t have and might never will, don’t we? It’s a fun way to imagine a ‘what if’ unrealistic future for a minute. Therefore that’s where the problem comes: when you start thinking and relating to your desires in that term, without realizing it, you start limiting yourself.
